Nicole Simons

Kids Yoga Instructor & Aerial Assistant

Artist, Yogi, and Mom (not necessarily in that order). I am a lover of words, creativity and the outdoors. When I’m not working at Somersfield Academy as their Marketing and Communications coordinator you might find me at Kinetix Studio teaching a class of little yogis and humming “my little light sees your little light”. I enjoy working with kids of all ages and helping them to express themselves creatively through both art and movement. After working with kids on a Sunday at church, and through various community based organizations I thought I’d let my love of art, yoga and teaching collide. I hold a BFA in Advertising Communications from Savannah College of Art & Design with a Minor in Graphic Design. I can’t decide what I want to be when I grow up which is fine because… well good artists rarely do. I believe that “every answer is inside of you” and we all have a choice – either find a way, or create one.

Kali has been practicing yoga since 2006 & completed her 400/hr teacher training in 2011 at the Sivananda Yoga Vendanta Meenaski Ashram. This form of yoga is gentle without jumping and strain. Yogis are encouraged to move gently and keep relaxed throughout the practice.

Elisabeth Rae

Adult Yoga Instructor

I have been practicing yoga for 15 years and completed my RYT 200 in 2010 and have been teaching ever since. I came to yoga from an athletic background to try and “stretch”, but found so much more than that.

In my classes, I like to combine creative sequencing, a spirit of playfulness and a challenge to both mind & body. I hope that all of my students will find their own strength & balance while experiencing stillness on the mat.

Kara Durham

Kids & Adult Yoga Instructor

I knew I wanted to do a teacher training before Savanna of my first Strala class. Strala focuses on moving with ease and using your breath to do so; I felt this as a Strala student and knew I wanted to become a Strala guide so I could share this with others.

I have a background in child development and I like the holistic approach yoga has given me in terms of child well-being and development; which I aim to bring to both my kids and adult classes.

My classes are a combination of breath, movement, music and exploration.
